Sr Facilities Engineer

What you will enjoy doing*

  • We are seeking a skilled Sr Facilities Engineer to support the Linde Technology Center (LTC) campus in Tonawanda, NY.
  • The role will require a high level of technical expertise, project management skills, and regulatory knowledge to ensure continual maintenance and improvements of buildings and infrastructure
  • The role will plan, coordinate, and supervise construction, new equipment installation, renovation, and refurbishment projects, working closely with Site Director, architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for process and equipment operation
  • Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure systems, including power distribution, telecommunications, plumbing, cooling and heating systems, fire suppression, environmental monitoring, and any other engineering systems related to facility management
  • Collaborate with Site Director on preparation of long-term strategy programs by continually seeking creative methods to increase operating efficiencies, decrease operating costs, drive cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues, proactively address maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulatory requirements
  • Identify and diagnose equipment failures, system malfunctions, and other issues, employing technical expertise to resolve them promptly
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to optimize facility efficiency and reliability
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to schedule and oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary


What makes you great

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
  • Master Degree (MS/MA) Engineering, Manufacturing or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in facilities operations/engineering with 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Deep understanding of MEP systems, power distribution, energy management, UPS, Fire Suppression systems, BMS, and industrial utilities
  • Working knowledge or experience of ACGIH Industrial Ventilation standards and practices
  • Certified Property Manager (CPM) and/or Real Property Administrator (RPA) designations preferred
  • Experience working with outside contractors including competitive bid process, responding to RFI's, issue addendums, process change orders and any related task required by the process
  • Strong skills in the following software: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project or related project management software
  • Experience overseeing repairs, upgrades, and construction projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, make informed decisions, and adapt quickly to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across departments.
  • Results-driven self-starter with proven ability to execute projects and tactical initiatives
