ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Manager of External Affairs, you will play a key role in executing Arium's external affairs strategy in partnership with regional and national leadership. You will serve as a front-line representative of the company, building relationships and advocating for policies that support business objectives.

This role requires strong collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to navigate regulatory environments while supporting broader strategic initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Represent Arium in meetings with government officials, industry associations, and community organizations, supporting advocacy efforts that align with company priorities.
  • Partner with regional Implementation & Operations team members to execute against national and regional strategy to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local officials, regulatory bodies, community organizations, and internal teams.
  • Track and analyze regulatory and policy developments at the local and state levels, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support the management and coordination of external consultants and lobbyists to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Communications, Policy, and Operations teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Support elements of the company's underlying rights program (e.g., franchise, right-of-way, pole attachment, and related agreements), ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Build and maintain our relationships with the communities we serve, responding to internal and external escalations to resolution.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education / Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, communications, business, or a related field required
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master's or JD) is preferred

Skills and Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in external affairs, government relations, public policy, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in building relationships with government officials, industry associations, and community organizations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and policy environments, preferably within telecommunications or infrastructure industries.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and navigate complex regulatory and policy challenges.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with managing vendor or consultant relationships (e.g., lobbyists) is a plus
  • Existing relationships with local or regional stakeholders preferred


Where you will work

This role falls into our hybrid work model, which is 2-days work from home (Monday and Friday) and 3-days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) to optimize collaboration, relationship building and key stakeholder engagement and may require some travel as needed.

Compensation

The pay range offered for this position is $ 165700 - 227800 Annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives
