PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Experience Designer in New York, NY
Job Duties: Create and iterate Design Components. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams. Attend daily stand-ups and work closely with product managers and engineers to refine design specifications, address edge cases, and ensure smooth implementation of designs across platforms. Conduct design reviews and critiques. Participate in weekly design critique sessions presenting work to fellow designers, gathers feedback, to deliver high-quality designs to better align with user needs and business goals. Analyze and incorporate User Feedback. Review user research findings and data insights to identify pain points and enhance the usability of key flows. Integrate these insights into design revisions to improve customer experience. Support Sprint Planning and Testing. Contribute to sprint planning by scoping design work, aligning timelines, and preparing assets for development handoff. Support usability testing sessions to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Design and visual design, including creation and iteration of digital design components (3 years)
2. Leveraging data analytics and user research to inform and justify design rationale (2 years)
3. Experimentation methods such as A/B testing, prototyping, and usability testing (2 years)
4. Graphic design and motion graphics for digital experiences (2 years)
5. Creative coding and interactive media (2 years)
6. Frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for design implementation (2 years)
7. Collaborating with cross-functional product teams including product managers and engineers (2 years)
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:
The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:
Primary Location | Pay Range:
New York, NY | Salary: $189,592.00-243,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
