The Role:

This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Experience Designer with strong craft and great attention to detail. As an advocate for player-centric experiences, you will help define the next generation of our franchise and play a crucial role in shaping the user experience for millions of players, from core gameplay mechanics, game mode new features, to the first-time user experience. You will collaborate closely with creative, technical, and product partners to shape outstanding, player-centric experiences from concept through final delivery.

Qualifications:

Core Experience
  • 5-8+ years of experience in game development, experience design, or a related product design field.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and showcasing your expertise in creating user-centered design solutions.

Design Craft & Execution
  • Ability to lead the design of intuitive, responsive, and engaging user flows, wireframes, and prototypes across different platforms.
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe Suites, or similar).
  • Experience creating and maintaining clear design documentation, including user flow diagrams, wireframes, and design specifications.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and workflows to enhance design velocity, craft, and execution while maintaining high quality standards.

Collaboration & Communication
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate player-centric decisions and the 'why' behind them to cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally with producers, game designers, artists, and engineers.
  • Ability to mentor and provide constructive feedback to more junior designers on the team.

Strategic & Systems Thinking
  • Strong systems thinking and an ability to design within existing frameworks and constraints.
  • Experience refining, maintaining, and expanding design systems, component libraries, and design tokens.
  • Ability to establish design standards and exercise judgment on where to enforce consistency versus empowering feature-specific customization.

Nice to have:
  • Experience working on live service or AAA games.
  • A passion for video games and interactive entertainment.
  • A strong interest in the UFC brand.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$122,300 - $170,700 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
