Full Job Description
Your Impact:

OpenText is seeking a senior-level Executive Briefing Strategist to lead strategic executive engagements for our most important clients and growth opportunities.

This role serves as a strategic advisor to account teams and senior leaders, bringing an outside-in perspective to elevate thinking, uncover gaps, and transform account priorities into meaningful executive conversations that strengthen relationships and accelerate business outcomes.

The Executive Briefing Strategist operates at the intersection of client strategy, executive engagement, Account-Based Marketing (ABM), and revenue growth. They will partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to understand the client, the opportunity, the relationships, and what needs to change-then architect the executive engagement most likely to move the relationship and business forward.

This is not an event management role. It requires executive presence, business acumen, strategic curiosity, and the confidence to challenge conventional thinking. The right candidate will ask the questions others have not asked, identify gaps in account strategy and executive relationships, and help teams move beyond presentations and product conversations toward meaningful dialogue around the client's most important priorities.

What The Role Offers:

Strategize & Advise
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to Sales, Field Marketing, and account teams pursuing OpenText's highest-priority accounts and opportunities.
  • Lead discovery sessions that uncover client priorities, business challenges, relationship gaps, whitespace, and desired outcomes.
  • Challenge and elevate account-team thinking to clarify why the engagement matters, why now, who needs to be in the room, and what needs to be different afterward.
  • Determine the appropriate executive engagement approach based on client need, account maturity, relationship strength, and business opportunity.

Architect Executive Conversations
  • Translate account strategy into highly curated Executive Briefings centered on the client's priorities.
  • Design the narrative, agenda, speakers, experiences, and executive interactions required to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Connect market perspective, industry insight, OpenText thought leadership, and client-specific context into a cohesive executive conversation.
  • Ensure every briefing creates space for dialogue, discovery, co-creation, and meaningful executive-to-executive engagement.

Orchestrate at the Executive Level
  • Identify and align the right OpenText executives, industry leaders, subject matter experts, and client stakeholders.
  • Prepare executives with the strategic context, relationship dynamics, business objectives, and desired outcomes needed to engage effectively.
  • Facilitate executive discussions and working sessions when appropriate.
  • Partner across Sales, Field Marketing, Customer Success, Industry, Business Value Consulting, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, Executive Leadership, EBC, and Global Command Center teams to deliver one connected client experience.

Connect Engagement to Growth
  • Apply ABM principles and account intelligence to connect Executive Briefings to broader account strategy.
  • Use executive engagement to strengthen relationships, open new lines of business, accelerate opportunities, and uncover expansion potential.
  • Identify relationship and opportunity gaps that should inform continued account engagement.
  • Ensure insights, commitments, and opportunities identified during the briefing translate into clear actions and sustained executive engagement.

Build & Scale Excellence
  • Help establish and evolve a world-class global Executive Briefing Program, including strategy, intake, discovery, briefing design, speaker readiness, execution, follow-through, and measurement.
  • Bring forward best practices and new approaches that continuously raise the quality and strategic value of Executive Briefings.
  • Measure success through executive engagement, relationship progression, pipeline influence and acceleration, expansion, and other established business outcomes.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Significant experience leading Executive Briefing Programs, Executive Engagement, Strategic Account Marketing, or similar senior client programs in a complex B2B environment.
  • Deep understanding of what distinguishes a strategic Executive Briefing from a traditional client meeting, sales presentation, or event.
  • Strong ABM experience, including strategic account planning, executive relationship development, buying groups, opportunity acceleration, and expansion.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with VP, C-suite, and C-1 client audiences and senior internal executives.
  • Exceptional business acumen and ability to quickly understand a client's business, industry, strategic priorities, and growth opportunities.
  • Strong executive presence and the confidence to consult, challenge, influence, and redirect senior stakeholders when needed.
  • Ability to connect disparate information and perspectives, identify gaps, and translate insights into a clear engagement strategy.
  • Excellent storytelling, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously operate as a strategist, consultant, facilitator, and orchestrator.
  • Experience within enterprise technology or another complex B2B environment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel to support strategic Executive Briefings and client engagements.
