Overview

This role supports REI's success by providing high-level administrative support to the Chief Merchandising Officer and Merchandising VP, Apparel & Footwear. You will partner closely with executives to manage daily operations, including calendar and communication coordination, meeting and event logistics, and project support. By anticipating needs, removing barriers, and streamlining workflows, you help ensure executive time is focused on key priorities while supporting day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Serve as a main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on matters related to the executive
  • Manage the executive's calendar and priorities to align with business goals
  • Facilitate communication flow by filtering requests and coordinating access to the executive's time
  • Prepare, draft, and edit communications, presentations, and reports that reflect the executive's voice
  • Coordinate travel, meetings, and events, including logistics, materials, and follow-up actions
  • Support projects and initiatives by tracking milestones, conducting research, and maintaining key information
  • Partner with HR and cross-functional teams on programs such as performance cycles, engagement surveys, and headcount tracking
  • Manage financial activities including expenses, invoices, and forecasting
  • Represent the executive in meetings when needed and ensure clear follow-through on action items
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
  • Provide insights and alternative perspectives to support decision-making

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of administrative experience, including support for senior leaders or executives
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing changing priorities
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proven experience managing calendars, travel, expenses, and confidential communications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field
  • Experience using AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot) to improve efficiency and quality

Pay Range

$74,400.00 - $119,100.00 per year
