Manage and lead the development of Honeywell Aerospace Defense & Space competitive and non-competitive proposals in response to government, international and commercial solicitations/Requests for Proposals.

Build, lead and drive proposal teams through the complete proposal process with the aim of meeting our D&S Proposal Ops established TAT and OTTR. Capture the proposal related information needed upfront to drive a successful kickoff, develop the proposal schedule, manage the rail, and drive action items to completion within action due date. Follow escalation path for those proposals at risk with meeting our proposal OTTR and TAT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead proposal process from cradle to grave
  • Manage cross functional teams to meet strict deadlines
  • Coordinate closely with the sales organization and D&S functions to ensure winning bids
  • Analyze RFP requirements to determine compliant response structure and volume outlines
  • Generate detailed RFP response plan and schedule
  • Facilitate document and color reviews
  • Work in progress, turnaround time and on time to receiver metrics reporting
  • Manage process improvement projects
  • Functional Team Collaboration


Qualifications

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum 3 years of proposal management, business development and/or business execution experience. (Primary contributors to proposals, such as Pricing, Sales, Program Management, Tech Sales, Engineering).

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior Aerospace experience preferred - Defense and Space experience is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated the ability to quickly form and manage high performing proposal teams
  • Experience with diverse team building and virtual coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels, from the individual team contributor through executive management
  • Ability to train others effectively in the proposal process
  • Motivating people to accomplish difficult tasks in a short time
  • Able to manage multiple proposal development activities at the same time
  • Knowledge in the areas of Government regulations, facilitation skills, offset requirements, Honeywell products, services and technologies are preferred
