Senior Epic Application AnalystPosition OverviewIntePros is seeking an experienced
Senior Epic Application Analyst to support a complex healthcare technology environment. This individual will be responsible for the analysis, design, build, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of Epic applications supporting clinical and business operations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on Epic experience, an active Epic certification, and the ability to translate operational and user needs into effective technical solutions. This role will also serve as a technical resource to other analysts and end users, helping troubleshoot complex issues, support projects, and continuously improve application performance and workflows.
Key ResponsibilitiesEpic Application Development & Support- Translate clinical, operational, and departmental requirements into effective Epic solutions.
- Perform intermediate to advanced Epic configuration, build, testing, implementation, and ongoing application support.
- Analyze existing workflows and recommend technical or process improvements that improve user productivity and service delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Epic application and system issues.
- Provide ongoing application support and technical guidance to Epic users.
- Participate in an after-hours/on-call support rotation as required.
Systems Analysis & Technical Administration- Analyze business, clinical, and technical requirements and determine appropriate system solutions.
- Support the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of Epic and other healthcare information systems.
- Apply established information systems methodologies, standards, and best practices throughout the application lifecycle.
- Participate in project reviews, workflow assessments, and process walkthroughs.
- Help establish and maintain technical development, application support, and information management standards.
Project Coordination- Manage and prioritize assigned projects and application initiatives according to established timelines.
- Coordinate activities across technical, clinical, operational, and business stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation related to project plans, priorities, schedules, testing, and implementation activities.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, and dependencies to leadership.
- Balance ongoing production support responsibilities with project-based work.
Team Leadership & Training- Serve as a technical resource and mentor to less experienced analysts.
- Assist other analysts with complex application issues, troubleshooting, and Epic development activities.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training for staff and end users.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead initiatives and influence technical and operational decisions.
Minimum QualificationsEducation- Associate degree preferred.
Certification- Current Epic certification required.
Experience- Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible healthcare information systems experience, including systems analysis, design, build, testing, implementation, and application support.
- Previous hands-on Epic application experience required.
- Experience working within a large, complex healthcare or enterprise information systems environment.
- Experience supporting complex application and technical issues.
- Experience assisting, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to other analysts.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Epic application configuration, support, development tools, and methodologies.
- Working knowledge of healthcare and hospital operations strongly preferred.
