A Day in the Life

Our Sr. Environmental Project Manager position is located in Orlando, Florida.

The annual salary range for this role is $100K to $130K, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. 

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities: 

  • Manage a variety of environmental compliance projects including but not limited to: Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans; Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans; Hazardous Waste Stream Determinations; Solid Waste and Hazardous Waste Management Plans; Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act Reports.

  • Assuming Project Management responsibilities including being the senior technical lead, supervising supporting staff, and coordinating completion of quality documents on time and on budget

  • Overseeing administrative and financial aspects of Project Management including proposals, project set ups, forecasting, invoicing, and subcontractor management

  • Participating in the company’s continuous improvement programs and providing support to team efforts

  • Work effectively, both independently and in a team setting

  • Conduct field work at client sites to collect data

  • Knowledgeable of regulatory standards in an environmental technical area

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times

  • Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs

  • Participate in the company’s continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts

  • Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops

  • Develop strong working relationships with clients

  • Performing other duties as assigned

Your Expertise and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Engineering or Environmental Studies; Advanced degree and licensure (i.e, P.E.) preferred

  • 10+ years of related experience, including internships and/or related scientific/field of study experience

  • Knowledge of computer aided software (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, AutoCAD, ArcGIS etc.)

  • General knowledge of environmental compliance and environmental engineering principles

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to present to supervisors.

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred

  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Ability to work well in a team-driven environment

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders.

  • Ability to travel (<20%)
