Overview

Who we're looking for

Toyota's PC - Internal Logistics Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to plan and execute as the Engineering lead for the Automation & Innovation Team within the Assembly Internal Logistics Shops.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will support the Assembly Internal Logistics Shops department's objective to safely implement automation within the Assembly shops.

What you'll be doing
  • Assist with budget planning for automation projects
  • Developing detailed planning timelines for 3-to-5-year automation projects
  • Completing Risk Assessments and Kanban process for new system implementations
  • Using a kaizen mindset to improve current delivery systems with the Assembly IL shops
  • Analyzing future opportunities for automation and innovation by conducting lead time studies for assets required


What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or applied engineering
  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with mapping and layouts using CAD
  • Proficiency in analyzing contractor 2D drawings and implementing into shop floor layouts
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
  • Ability to work weekends, holiday shutdown work, and confirmation support to allow smooth restart of production as needed
  • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position
