Full Job Description
Watts is looking for an innovative Senior EHS Manager in our Franklin NH Facility. The Senior EHS Manager will provide overall leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and related regulations, including Watts Water policies and procedures. Plans, develops, administers, and manages organization safety policies, programs and training. Manages the maintenance of records on accidents and prepares appropriate reports. Audits facility and operations and investigates accidents. Recommends and/or initiates changes to mitigate hazard and repeat accidents. Responsible for plant and office physical security. Conduct or oversee training for personnel on safety, health and environmental issues. Provides advice on safety and protection; and carries out audits to ensure that organization and government standards on environment, health and safety are met. Travel approximately 10% PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Provide EHS leadership for the NH operations • Manage EHS compliance programs in accordance with federal, state and local regulations as well as lead the EHS Management System across the operations • Interface with regulatory agencies including OSHA, EPA plus state/local regulatory agencies (e.g. NHDES) • Coordinate and/or undertake environmental monitoring (air, water, stormwater, wastewater, lead, waste) • Develop written procedures and conduct EHS assessments • Undertake permitting and associated deliverables management (air, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous and universal waste) • Develop and submit EPA SARA Title III submittals (Tier II, Form Rs) • Conduct EHS audits and corrective action planning • Provide EHS training (e.g., RCRA, HAZCOM, SPCC, Lockout/Tagout, Forklift, PPE, etc.) • Lead investigation of all accidents and incidents • Collaborate with the Human Resources Department in worker's compensation, transitional return to work, and wellness initiatives • Maintain EHS files and records to ensure compliance with all applicable EHS policies and regulations • Interface and collaborate with other EHS leaders across Watts globally EDUCATION: • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Occupational Medicine, or related degree MANAGEMENT: • Manage a team of 3 or more direct reports, to include EHS Generalist & EHS Technician QUALIFICATIONS: • Requirement - Minimum of 10 years of directly applicable experience • Professional certification preferred (e.g., CSP, CHMM, PE, COHN) • Excellent working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations (e.g., EPCRA, CAA, CWA, SPCC, NESHAP, etc.) • Knowledge of proper protocol for exposure monitoring • Experience in accident investigation, analysis and corrective action planning • Ability to influence and interact effectively with all levels of the organization • General knowledge or worker's compensation • General knowledge or transitional return to work programs • Hands on leader • Project and cost management skills General Applicable Company Competencies • Commitment to Watts' values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency. • Punctuality and dependability. • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions. • Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts. • Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees. • Adherence to Watts' seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action. Working Conditions: While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company's Franklin location in Franklin, NH. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager. Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to: • Ability to stand for long periods of time. • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. • Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds. • Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor. • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers. • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
