The
Sr. Network Engineer I provides engineering and administration support for mission-critical enterprise networks. This position is responsible for implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable network solutions that support organizational objectives and ensure optimal performance and availability.
What you'll do:- Implement, configure, and support enterprise network solutions for federal government customers.
- Deploy and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies, maintain network performance and security, collaborate with project teams, and contribute to successful mission outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed:- An active Top Secret security clearance required.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering with hands-on responsibility for core enterprise routing and switching infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.
- Experience with Cisco SD-WAN.
- Experience with Peplink products.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise switching environments, including VLANs, STP, and related Layer 2 technologies.
- Experience managing and maintaining high-availability, high-performance network backbones in mission-critical environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR, ISR, Catalyst, and Nexus platforms.
- Explicit experience performing network traffic analysis.
- CCNP Enterprise Certification.
SALARY RANGE: $145,000 - $165,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
