Full Job Description
Your Impact:

The Mission: To scale a high-throughput, intelligent analytics platform capable of contextualizing billions of daily events, turning raw logs and behaviour analytics into actionable mitigation strategies before exploitation occurs.

As the threat landscape evolves at an unprecedented, machine-speed velocity, our defensive architectures must move faster. We are seeking a visionary, execution-oriented Senior Director of Development for Cybersecurity Security Analytics to lead the next generation of our enterprise detection, response, and telemetry analysis platforms.

In this high-impact executive role, you will own the architectural strategy, product delivery, and engineering execution for our core Security Analytics engine. You will lead a world-class, cross-geographical engineering organization, leveraging modern AI/ML technologies to redefine how enterprise telemetry is ingested, analyzed, and automated. This role demands a unique combination of elite technical leadership, strategic business acumen, and a deep understanding of how to build AI-driven security products while utilizing AI to accelerate the software development lifecycle (SDLC) itself.

What the role offers:

Strategic Vision & Roadmap Execution

  • Partner seamlessly with executive leadership (CTO, CISO, VP of Product) to translate corporate market strategy into an actionable, multi-year engineering vision and technical roadmap.
  • Balance long-term foundational architecture investments with short-term commercial execution requirements, ensuring predictable, high-quality feature delivery.
  • Drive innovation within SIEM, SOAR, and behavioral analytics frameworks to maintain a competitive edge against emerging autonomous threat vectors.

Global Engineering Leadership & Agile Scaling

  • Direct and scale a multi-tier, cross-geographical engineering organization across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, fostering a culture of extreme ownership, high collaboration, and engineering excellence.
  • Optimize Agile/Scrum development methodologies across distributed teams, removing friction from continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to achieve rapid release cycles.
  • Mentor and develop engineering managers, architects, and principal engineers, establishing robust technical leadership pipelines.

AI Innovation & SDLC Acceleration

  • Lead the design and implementation of AI/ML models natively into security analytics solutions, moving beyond signature-based detection into automated contextual reasoning, anomaly isolation, and proactive threat hunting.
  • Pioneer the integration of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) into the development lifecycle to accelerate code generation, automate regression testing, and streamline vulnerability remediation, safely driving down software time-to-market.

Customer Engagement & Market Alignment

  • Act as a key technical executive champion for marquee enterprise customers, Advisory Boards, and strategic partners, converting sophisticated user feedback into platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with product management to deeply understand user personas (SOC Analysts, Incident Responders, CISOs) to design intuitive, high-efficiency analytics workflows.

What you need to succeed:
  • 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with a minimum of 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Director or above) directly managing complex enterprise security products.
  • Deep architectural understanding of high-scale data ingestion, streaming analytics (e.g., Kafka, Flink), log management, SIEM, SOAR, or cloud-native security platforms.
  • Proven success managing and scaling large (50+ engineers), cross-functional, multi-site development teams with an inclusive, high-performance operating model.
  • Practical knowledge of data science fundamentals, neural networks, or LLM orchestration frameworks, with explicit experience launching AI-assisted security features or workflow automation.
  • Elite command of Agile principles, modern DevSecOps frameworks, microservices architectures, and secure coding practices.
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical executive board members, while maintaining deep credibility with staff engineers.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Prior experience scaling enterprise ARR through critical platform transitions (e.g., legacy on-prem log infrastructure to cloud-native AI-driven detection).
  • Active involvement in the cybersecurity or open-source community, staying ahead of disruptive security developments and emerging defensive paradigms.
