The Opportunity | Sr Director, Programs

You will be a Key member of the Curtiss-Wright EMS Division senior leadership team with critical responsibilities related to shaping and executing the strategic vision of program management.

The Senior Director of Program Management is a critical role providing extensive experience in managing complex programs that drive significant business impact. Fosters a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and delivering measurable results.

Your Challenge:
  • Provides strategic oversight and guidance to the Program Management teams. Leads departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. Monitors projects from initiation through delivery, including organizing cross-functional activities to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget constraints. (20%)
  • Develops and implements a forward-thinking program management strategy that aligns with organizational goals and priorities. Leads initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and ensure long-term sustainability. Drives the integration of innovative methodologies and technologies within program management practices. Promotes a culture of learning and adaption by conducting post-project evaluations and implementing lessons learned. (20%)
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders. Collaborates closely with leadership to align program objectives with overall business strategy. Serves as a trusted advisor on program management best practices and performance metrics. (20%)
  • Defines, monitors, and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess program success and strategic alignment. Provides executive leadership with insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. (20%)
  • Leads the identification and assessment of risks across programs, implementing proactive mitigation strategies. Ensures adherence to organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Oversees strategic resource planning and allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of talent and budget across all programs. (20%)


Your Expertise:
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale, complex programs with a focus on strategic impact, risk management, and resource optimization.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, driving high performance and fosters a collaborative environment.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making and performance enhancement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing complex challenges while maintaining long-term strategic goals.
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance


LOCATION: remote US with 30%-50%travel to EMS sites would be expected.

SALARY: $225,000.00-$250,000.00 plus bonus
