Position Summary
New American Funding (NAF) is a nationwide mortgage lender committed to helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals. We are seeking a visionary, strategic, and results-driven Sr. Director of Product & Audience Marketing to join our leadership team. This senior executive will own the full product and audience marketing function — driving industry-leading positioning for NAF's loan products and proprietary technology platforms, building strategic partnership marketing opportunities, and establishing NAF as the definitive category leader in tech-enabled mortgage solutions.
The ideal candidate is a strategic marketing executive with deep expertise in both financial services products and technology platforms, a sophisticated understanding of audience segmentation, and the executive presence to influence at the highest levels of the organization and across external partnerships.
ResponsibilitiesProduct Marketing & Positioning• Own end-to-end product marketing strategy across NAF's full portfolio — including loan products (purchase, refinance, reverse, specialty) and proprietary technology platforms.• Expertise in AI and how to position NAF as an industry leader in this space.• Develop compelling, differentiated product positioning and messaging that clearly articulates NAF's competitive advantages to borrowers, loan officers, partners, and the broader market.• Conduct regular competitive analysis to benchmark NAF's offerings against key industry players, identify whitespace opportunities, and inform product roadmap and marketing strategy.• Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for new product launches, technology releases, and platform updates — ensuring cross-functional alignment from inception through launch and post-launch optimization.• Partner with strategy and sales on roadmap communication, market validation, and GTM readiness.• Own integrated product marketing campaigns in collaboration with Marketing Operations.• Establish NAF as the industry leader in technology-enabled mortgage lending through bold market positioning.
Audience Strategy & Segmentation• Lead the development of a sophisticated audience segmentation framework — identifying, defining, and prioritizing key customer and partner segments based on behavioral, demographic, financial, and psychographic data.• Translate audience insights into targeted marketing strategies, tailored messaging, and personalized content experiences that drive engagement, conversion, and loyalty.• Champion a data-driven approach to audience analysis, leveraging analytics platforms to continuously refine targeting, measure impact, and optimize performance.• Collaborate with lead gen and data teams to build and maintain NAF's audience data assets.
Strategic Partnerships• Serve as a senior marketing leader for NAF's strategic partnership ecosystem — developing joint go-to-market strategies, co-marketing programs, and partner enablement materials.• Demonstrate fluency in strategic partnership structures, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and the ability to navigate partnership terms, obligations, and co-marketing arrangements at an executive level.• Build and sustain relationships with key external partners, technology vendors, and industry organizations to amplify NAF's market presence and distribution reach.• Collaborate with partnership and legal teams to structure partnership frameworks that align marketing objectives with contractual requirements.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of 3 marketers (across mortgage products, strategic partnerships, tech products).• Set clear goals, establish accountability frameworks, and lead with clarity and decisiveness through ambiguity.• Partner closely with Product, Sales, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Success leadership to align GTM plans, track KPIs, adoption metrics, and campaign performance.• Present strategy, insights, and recommendations to C-suite and senior leadership with confidence and authority.
Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required; Master's degree or MBA strongly preferred.• 10–15 years of progressive experience in product marketing, audience marketing, or related disciplines, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.• Deep expertise in marketing both loan/mortgage products and technology/SaaS products — candidates with experience in only one domain will not be considered.• Demonstrated expertise in audience segmentation, audience analysis, and data-driven targeting strategies at scale.• Fluency in strategic partnerships, including a working understanding of how Master Service Agreements (MSAs) function, co-marketing obligations, and partnership lifecycle management.• Proven ability to differentiate product offerings from competitors and conduct rigorous, ongoing competitive analysis to inform positioning and strategy.• Demonstrated success establishing a brand or product line as a category leader, with the vision and execution capability to make NAF the industry leader in tech-enabled mortgage solutions.• Significant experience in the financial services, mortgage, or real estate industry, with a strong understanding of the loan lifecycle, mortgage products, compliance requirements, and industry dynamics.• Proven success in building and executing go-to-market strategies for SaaS, platform-based, or financial products.• Data-driven mindset with strong comfort around KPIs, adoption metrics, business case development, and ROI analysis.• Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, and mortgage industry platforms.• Deep familiarity with compliance, risk, and regulatory considerations in financial product marketing (e.g., RESPA, UDAAP, FCRA).• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex product value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and present confidently to leadership.
