Full Job Description
Senior Director, BioAnalytical Services

Work Schedule - Monday-Friday / Remote (but willing to travel onsite as needed)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a global vision for integrating BioAnalytical Services into a comprehensive drug development product offering.
  • Ensure annual quality, scientific and/or client service targets are achieved in appropriate business segment.
  • Formulate, develop and implement plans, policies and procedures in alignment with department and corporate guidelines.
  • Justify and allocate resources (personnel, space and equipment) to ensure financial and budget expectations are met.
  • Develop operational/scientific strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and innovation.
  • Oversee development and renovation programs in collaboration with department staff and facilities personnel, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements, as appropriate.
  • Initiate and implement employee development programs to enhance scientific capabilities and operational excellence
  • Conduct performance appraisals and manage employee performance, career development and expectations within the department.
  • Foster a stimulating and rewarding work environment while effectively addressing performance concerns.
  • Ensure the scientific objectivity, credibility and expertise of the department in all research and operational activities.
  • Enforce department safety programs in coordination with the environmental, health and safety department.
  • Enhance employee communication and support recruitment and staff retention efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Chemistry (biochemistry, biology, immunology etc.)
  • Significant, 10 years or more supervisory and people management experience, preferably in a operational leadership role.
  • 10 years or more Demonstrated leadership of client-facing, medium-to-large laboratory organizations, with full accountability for enterprise collaboration, project management governance, operational excellence, and sustained financial performance.

  • 10 years or more demonstrated leadership experience, including an ability to motivate and deliver exceptional results through people.

This individual will provide leadership and strategic direction to BioAnalytical Services, overseeing systems, operations and/or science in their particular segment. Provide strategic governance and leadership for global Project Management and Client Engagement functions. Drive the successful execution of strategy, organizational structure, and standardized processes to enable high-impact collaboration and trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Deliver integrated services and innovative solutions that accelerate scientific innovation, support sustainable growth, and achieve financial objectives.

As a key leader within the organization, this individual will take ownership of ensuring process, systems, scientific and/or client service targets are met as appropriate. Own and drive execution of Project Management and Client Engagement strategy to ensure BioAnalytical teams deliver a cohesive, integrated service model that consistently achieves exceptional satisfaction and delivery. Strategically aligns project management capacity, resourcing, and infrastructure to meet advance organizational priorities, and proactively support current and future portfolio demands. They will develop and champion the BioAnalytical vision, partnering across the enterprise and the wider Drug Development organization to drive sustainable growth and align with strategic objectives.

They will provide direction for staff responsible for the delivery of BioAnalytical services, ensuring client satisfaction on multidisciplinary projects throughout the drug development pathway.

This leader will collaborate with scientific and operational peers to ensure alignment with the BioAnalytical Strategy and work cross-functionally with colleagues in BioAnalytical Services, Central Laboratories, Early Development and Drug Development to develop and implement impactful solutions.
