Position Summary:The Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations provides strategic and operational leadership across Tennessee and Nebraska manufacturing facilities. This position oversees manufacturing, procurement, demand planning, supply chain, logistics, inventory, and operational performance to ensure the company safely and consistently meets its quality, service, cost, and growth objectives.
Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional partners, this leader will develop scalable operating strategies, strengthen S&OP and continuous-improvement processes, oversee budgets and capital investments, and ensure compliance within a regulated manufacturing environment. The Senior Director will also build and develop high-performing teams while creating the systems, accountability, and operational discipline needed to support continued business growth.
Role and Responsibilities: - Lead manufacturing strategy and operational performance across the company's Tennessee and Nebraska facilities.
- Oversee manufacturing, procurement, demand planning, supply chain, logistics, inventory, and warehouse operations.
- Establish and monitor performance expectations related to safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, and workforce effectiveness.
- Strengthen production planning and S&OP processes to support customer demand, inventory health, capacity, and on-time delivery.
- Ensure operations comply with cGMP, FDA, OSHA, quality-system, customer, and certification requirements.
- Drive continuous-improvement initiatives that increase throughput, productivity, yield, and efficiency while reducing waste and operating costs.
- Lead operational budgets, capital investments, facility expansions, equipment installations, and production ramp-up activities.
- Build and develop a high-performing, accountable leadership team across multiple facilities and shifts.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks involving labor, equipment, suppliers, materials, utilities, capacity, and business continuity.
- Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to translate company growth plans into scalable operational strategies.

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, business, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- At least 10 years of progressive manufacturing or plant-operations experience, including responsibility for teams, budgets, and operational performance.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-site or multi-shift manufacturing operations.
- Experience within a regulated consumer-products environment, such as dietary supplements, consumer health, personal care, pharmaceuticals, food, or chemicals.
- Working knowledge of cGMP, quality systems, FDA and OSHA requirements, and audit-ready manufacturing practices.
- Strong financial and operational knowledge, with demonstrated success improving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
- Experience using ERP, MRP, inventory, or manufacturing systems to support planning and operational decisions.
- Strong executive-level communication, leadership, judgment, and change-management capabilities.
- Ability to work on-site near Nashville, Tennessee, or Omaha, Nebraska, and travel up to 50% between company facilities and other business locations.
- Experience building, scaling, or leading drug or similarly regulated manufacturing operations.
- Experience with facility expansion, automation, capital projects, S&OP, new-product introductions, or supplier development.
- Advanced degree or professional certification in Lean, Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM, supply chain, or project management.
- Travel up to 50% (this position can be based in either Nebraska or Tennessee)
