Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is searching for the best talent to join our team as the Senior Director, Technology Communications & Enterprise Functions Communications Center, based in New Brunswick.

Position Summary

This dynamic, highly visible role will lead Johnson & Johnson’s Technology communications strategy and Enterprise Functions Communications Center, elevating the company’s AI, data and digital innovation story and enabling high-impact, scalable communications across enterprise functions. As a strategic partner to the Chief Information Officer, this individual will shape narratives, drive executive communications, and engage employees on the company’s ambition to advance healthcare through technology. In addition, this position is responsible for launching a new center of excellence that will reimagine internal communications for multiple enterprise functions.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President, Enterprise & Employee Experience Communications, this role will oversee a team leading in two main areas: Technology Communications and the Enterprise Functions Communications Center.

Technology Communications

  • Develop and implement comprehensive external and internal communications strategies that advance Technology priorities.

  • Lead strategic communications for the Chief Information Officer, driving thought leadership efforts that support business objectives across earned and social media, speaking opportunities, and industry awards.

  • Engage and empower Technology colleagues and broader J&J audiences through internal communications that highlight how technology enables business outcomes, using channels such as town halls, newsletters, intranet, and video.

  • Serve as a member of the Technology Leadership Team, contributing strategic counsel and communications expertise.

Enterprise Functions Communications Center

  • Lead the Enterprise Functions Communications Center, establishing the vision, operating model, priorities, and execution approach for a shared internal communications capability supporting Enterprise Functions.

  • Create enterprise-wide standard processes for repeatable internal communications, delivering consistent approaches, reusable playbooks, and templates for recurring activities (e.g. briefings, town halls, newsletters) that enable more effective and optimized employee engagement.

  • Build scalable internal communications processes, including AI-enabled workflow management, measurement frameworks, and resource allocation models that improve efficiency across Enterprise Functions.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of experienced communicators, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Marketing or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

  • 12+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, and/or employee engagement; experience supporting technology-related functions strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including establishing new teams and leading through change.

  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining relationships with senior executives, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders with competing priorities.

  • Proven ability to lead internal and external communications programs in a complex, global organization.

  • Strong understanding of the healthcare and technology landscapes, including AI, data, digital transformation and innovation, with the ability to translate complex concepts into compelling communications.

  • Experience building or scaling communications operating models, shared services, or centers of excellence.

  • Expertise in applying AI and automation to improve processes, increase efficiency, and streamline content development.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft impactful messages for executives, employees and external audiences.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$178,000.00 - $307,050.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).



This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.



Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
