Full Job Description
The Senior Director, Enterprise Financial Systems (Remote) is the executive technology owner responsible for leading the implementation and long-term operational excellence of the organization's Oracle Cloud Financials platform - the financial backbone supporting our Medicare Advantage operations. This leader serves as the strategic bridge between Digital Technology Services (DTS) and Finance, partnering directly with the CFO, Corporate Controller, and VP of Finance to ensure our financial systems architecture is reliable, compliant, and built to scale.

In the near term, this role spearheads a full-lifecycle Oracle Cloud ERP implementation spanning General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Enterprise Performance Management; post go-live, it transitions to directing ongoing platform operations, continuous improvement, and the long-term technology roadmap.

This position is critical to the organization because financial system integrity directly enables our ability to serve Medicare Advantage members, meet CMS reporting requirements, and sustain the operational performance that underpins our growth.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

1. Lead Enterprise ERP Implementation and Transformation
Direct the end-to-end implementation of Oracle Cloud Financials, serving as the executive IT owner accountable for scope, timeline, budget, and quality across all financial modules. Ensure seamless integration with adjacent enterprise systems - including Workday (HR), healthcare-specific platforms, and third-party financial tools - while maintaining minimal disruption to business operations during the transition.

2. Govern Platform Operations and Continuous Improvement
Establish and maintain ITIL-aligned support frameworks, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators to ensure high availability and stability of Oracle Financial systems post go-live. Direct the quarterly Oracle Cloud update cycle, including regression testing, impact analysis, and adoption of new features that advance finance automation and reduce month-end close cycle times.

3. Drive Financial Systems Data Strategy and Integration
Oversee the data governance strategy for financial data extraction, transformation, and ingestion into the enterprise data lake, ensuring data integrity from source systems through downstream analytics and reporting. Partner with the DTS Data Engineering and enterprise architecture teams to design scalable, secure integrations between Oracle and all connected platforms, with emphasis on Azure-based data infrastructure.

4. Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Financial Controls
Maintain the Oracle Financials platform in full alignment with SOX compliance, CMS financial reporting requirements, HIPAA data privacy obligations, and internal Segregation of Duties (SoD) frameworks. Serve as the primary IT accountability point for internal and external audit activities related to financial system controls, data lineage, and access governance.

5. Manage Vendor and Systems Integrator Relationships
Own the commercial and delivery relationship with Oracle and the implementation Systems Integrator (SI), driving accountability against statement of work (SOW) deliverables, managing escalations, and optimizing resource allocation across internal and external workstreams. Negotiate and manage multi-million-dollar enterprise software and consulting agreements with strong commercial acumen.

6. Align Technology Strategy with Finance Business Objectives
Translate corporate Finance strategy into a multi-year Oracle technology roadmap, ensuring investment decisions, platform capabilities, and automation priorities reflect the organization's Medicare Advantage growth agenda. Manage the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the Oracle financial footprint, including CapEx for implementation and OpEx for ongoing licensing and support.

7. Build, Lead, and Develop a High-Performing Team
Recruit, mentor, and retain a team of application technology experts, integration architects, and functional business analysts who collectively own Oracle platform support and enhancement. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration that positions the Enterprise Financial Systems team as a trusted, value-adding partner to Finance.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervisory Requirements: Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
