Full Job Description
Sr. Director, GBS Communications (Stamford)

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Support high priority communications and support the executive communications for executive leader, including Town Halls, leadership meetings, PowerPoint presentations, announcements, and ad hoc communications
  • Manage a direct report supporting GBS' communications strategy
  • Develop and produce internally-facing videos, employing all Gartner best practices for video creation and collaborating with our Centers of Excellence.
  • Manage the GBS Meeting-in-a-Box program
  • Collaborate on script creation and execution for Winners Circle events, partnering across the sales communications team, sales leaders, and production partners.
  • Adhere to globally consistent standards for articulating best practices - aligned to strategy and presented in context of the standard language and tools.
  • Coordinate with India Center of Excellence, providing feedback, guidance and next steps where appropriate.
  • Work with corporate marketing on any sales tools, videos and materials needed.
  • Ability to write and assess the quality of other written materials.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in high performance and often stressful environment.
  • Must have the clout and confidence to hold firm on pre-determined guidelines.
  • Work closely with Sales leaders, BU leaders, IT partners, prioritizing content and workflow according to strategy.


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • 8+ years' experience working on executive-level communications.
  • Experience communicating to sales teams preferred.
  • Strong multimedia skills, writing skills, great interpersonal skills, creativity, intellectual curiosity.
  • Must be able to handle curve balls and be comfortable with change and ambiguity.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to understand and apply strategy.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn, self-starter.
  • PowerPoint, Excel, Word, web content management experience.


**Must be located within a 60-minute commuting distance to Stamford, CT.**

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 136,000 USD - 189,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
