Position Summary

Loud And Live is seeking a strategic, financially driven, and client-focused Senior Director - Business Operations to lead the business performance, client strategy, and operational success of the company's Events Division.

This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of the event portfolio from business development and client acquisition through scope development, contract review, budgeting, forecasting, operational oversight, and post-event financial reconciliation. The Senior Director is accountable for ensuring every event is strategically positioned, financially successful, operationally executable, and delivered with exceptional client service.

Working cross-functionally with Production, Venue Operations, Concessions, Sponsorship, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership, this role drives revenue growth, operational excellence, and long-term client partnerships while overseeing the overall performance and profitability of the Events Division.

Success in this role will be measured not only by flawless event execution, but by client retention, revenue growth, forecasting accuracy, profitability, and the ability to scale the Events Division through strategic partnerships and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations & Financial Leadership

  • Own full financial oversight of the Events Division, including forecasting, budgeting, profitability analysis, and performance reporting
  • Develop annual operating plans, revenue forecasts, departmental budgets, and staffing models
  • Monitor event profitability and operational margins while identifying opportunities to improve financial performance
  • Review and approve event budgets, labor models, pricing strategies, and resource allocations
  • Oversee post-event financial reconciliation and ensure accurate reporting of labor, vendor expenses, revenues, and event performance
  • Partner with Finance to manage forecasting, cash flow expectations, invoicing, collections, and financial reporting


Client Services & Business Development

  • Serve as the executive point of contact for key clients, promoters, agencies, municipalities, venue partners, and strategic stakeholders
  • Manage inbound event inquiries and guide opportunities through qualification, scoping, budgeting, and execution planning
  • Lead discovery meetings, site visits, presentations, and operational walkthroughs with prospective and existing clients
  • Build long-term client relationships that generate repeat business and strategic partnerships
  • Ensure exceptional client service throughout the event lifecycle from proposal through final reconciliation
  • Conduct post-event business reviews and identify opportunities for future engagements


Event Scoping & Contract Management

  • Oversee development of event scopes of work, operational plans, staffing assumptions, and service deliverables
  • Partner with Sales and Legal teams to review contracts, service agreements, and operational obligations
  • Ensure project scopes accurately reflect operational capabilities, timelines, and financial expectations
  • Review change orders, scope modifications, and client requests throughout project lifecycles
  • Mitigate operational and financial risk through proactive planning and contract management


Revenue Growth & Internal Service Integration

  • Drive incremental revenue by identifying opportunities to expand event scopes and integrate internal services
  • Partner with clients to incorporate Production, Concessions, Venue Services, Fabrication, Logistics, Staffing, Hospitality, and other company capabilities into event solutions
  • Work collaboratively with internal department leaders to maximize cross-selling opportunities and operational efficiencies
  • Support venue programming initiatives and identify opportunities to increase venue utilization and recurring revenue
  • Develop strategies to strengthen client retention and grow account value through expanded service offerings


Department Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Lead and mentor the Director of Events while establishing performance expectations and departmental objectives
  • Oversee staffing strategies, organizational planning, and resource allocation across the event portfolio
  • Review departmental workloads and ensure operational resources are aligned with business priorities
  • Establish and maintain SOPs, planning processes, reporting standards, and performance metrics
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, financial discipline, and exceptional client service


Strategic Planning & Portfolio Management

  • Evaluate new event opportunities based on financial viability, operational feasibility, and strategic alignment
  • Support executive leadership in long-range planning, venue programming, and portfolio expansion initiatives
  • Analyze event performance data and market trends to identify growth opportunities
  • Develop operational strategies that improve scalability, efficiency, and profitability across the division
  • Represent the Events Division in executive meetings, client presentations, industry functions, and strategic planning initiatives


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in event operations, experiential marketing, agency services, venue management, hospitality, or live entertainment
  • Strong background in client services, account management, or business operations with a proven ability to manage executive-level relationships
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing budgets, financial forecasting, contract administration, and event profitability
  • Experience developing scopes of work, operational proposals, and service agreements
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance client expectations with operational execution and financial performance
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in fast-paced, project-driven environments
  • Ability to oversee multiple high-profile projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and financial accountability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, CRM platforms, and financial reporting tools
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as business needs require
