Sr. DevSecOps Engineer - U.S. Citizenship Required

Position Description:

CGI leads a team that supports and modernizes multiple cloud-based, multi-agency case management systems using Agile DevSecOps practices. We design, maintain, and enhance several AWS-hosted solutions for our client, who regularly relies on our expertise to tackle new technical challenges.

To support continued growth, we're seeking a senior DevSecOps engineer who can quickly learn new technologies, enhance existing systems, and understand the client ecosystem. You'll automate cloud deployments through CI/CD pipelines, apply test-driven development principles, and take ownership of program-wide infrastructure initiatives.

This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Build CI/CD pipelines for microservices, applications, and supporting components.
• Establish standard CI/CD practices across teams and the application portfolio.
• Optimize system availability while managing AWS costs.
• Oversee security requirements and patching to maintain authorization.
• Analyze logs and perform root-cause analysis for performance or infrastructure issues.
• Participate in design sessions with internal teams and client technical specialists.
• Collaborate with agile teams to design, build, and deliver cloud solutions.
• Coordinate integration testing across multiple teams.
• Engage in daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and other Agile ceremonies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• U.S. citizenship (due to government contract requirements).
• 8+ years of IT development experience focused on DevSecOps, DevOps, and AWS.
• Expert-level experience with GitHub and Linux administration.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Strong Agile delivery experience and familiarity with Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desired qualifications:
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic, Prisma Cloud).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for Alfresco, MuleSoft, or Solr.
• Experience with Harness.io.
• Experience with Amazon EKS.
• AWS certification.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 $245,500.00.
