You will work within a dynamic, team-based Agile environment, leveraging your technical expertise to deliver robust, secure, and high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with modern cloud and AI-powered technologies, as this role will be instrumental in our planned migration to a cloud-native architecture in AWS GovCloud.

  • Analyze, maintain, and enhance complex Java code, including code automatically converted from legacy COBOL programs.
  • Write and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, and triggers to support business logic.
  • Utilize static code analysis and security scanning tools to proactively identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and code quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of automated tests (unit, integration, functional) to ensure quality and regression-free deployments.
  • Develop and manage system interfaces with multiple legacy systems using messaging queues (JBoss AMQ).
  • Create and maintain sophisticated reports using JasperReports.
  • Work as a key member of an Agile development team, collaborating with government stakeholders to develop and estimate user stories.
  • Contributes to the creation and maintenance of the system architecture and product roadmap.
  • Leverage modern development practices, including AI-assisted tools, to accelerate the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Liaise with systems engineers, database administrators, and other technical teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
