Job Summary

This position will be responsible for the engineering and design of custom engineered industrial OEM panels and equipment in the Emissions Platform of CECO.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Develop the complete technical design of electrical panels, including junction boxes, heater control panels, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor starter panels, variable frequency drives, and general motor controls.
• Extensive knowledge of how to lay out the internal components inside a panel for the engineered products listed above.
• Generate the following engineering drawings related to panel design: panel external layout drawings, back panel internal layout drawings, wiring diagrams.
• Understand and generate logic diagrams, specifically SAMA process control logic diagrams and Boolean ladder logic diagrams.
• Understanding P&IDs and how the components on a P&ID are translated to panel designs, wiring diagrams, and logic diagrams.
• Incorporate customer specifications and requirements into equipment design.
• Generate the following additional supplementary engineering deliverables: one-line diagrams, cause and effect tables, cable schedules, conduit and routing plans. (heat tracing, area lighting, and HVAC sizing for panels is a plus)
• Provides technical support for fabricators during the fabrication of equipment.
• Performs inspection of equipment (including factory acceptance test) at fabricators' shop.
• Communicates directly with customers, suppliers, fabricators, and sales.

Required Qualifications:
• Five (5) years minimum experience designing electrical systems for industrial applications (residential or commercial not applicable).
• Experience designing control panels based on relay or PLC / DCS control.
• Knowledge of plant process control and monitoring is a plus.

Licensing or Certifications:
• Industry certifications (e.g., UL-508A, NEC) a plus.

• Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel.
