Position Summary:
The Sr Demand/Supply Planner will be responsible for the end-to-end logistics, system integration, and purchasing functions for the Spindle business unit.
This role acts as the vital link between digital sales channels and physical fulfillment; focusing on SAP management, 3PL coordination, and procurement to ensure seamless order flow and inventory availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & 3PL Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for ShipNetwork and other third-party logistics (#PL) providers.
• Monitor 3PL performance to ensure timely outbound shipping and accurate specialized packaging for ecommerce orders.
• Oversee the integration timeline for new logistics partnerships to meet the May launch deadline.
• Manage "last-mile" delivery issues and coordinate with carriers to optimize shipping costs and delivery speed.
Systems & SAP Integration
• Maintain the integrity of the data flow between the Ecommerce storefront, SAP, and 3PL systems.
• Troubleshoot order errors, sync issues, and EDI discrepancies within SAP.
• Ensure all product metadata related to logistics (weights, dimensions, HS codes), is accurately maintained in the system.
Purchasing & Supply Chain Planning
• Manage purchasing activities for Spindle products, including issuing Purchase Orders (POs) and tracking production timelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure inventory levels align with marketing forecasts and promotional calendars.
• Manage the procurement of ecommerce-specific packaging materials and dunnage.
• Review and process Statements of Work (SOW) and other internal procurement platforms.
Inventory & Operations
• Perform regular inventory reconciliations between SAP and 3PL warehouse management systems.
• Analyze stock turn levels and alert the Ecommerce Manager of potential out-of-stock risk or overstock situations.
• Support the SCM team in refining allocation logic to better reflect ecommerce priorities.
Requirements:
• 3-5 years experience in SCM, Logistics, or Ecommerce Operations
• Proficiency in SAP (highly preferred) and experience with procurement platforms
• Strong understanding of 3PL environments, specifically regarding ShipNetwork or similar ecommerce fulfillment providers.
• Advanced Excel skills for data reconciliation and inventory forecasting.
• Ability to work cross-functionally between internal SCM teams and external digital marketing partners.
The base salary for this position is between $80,000.00 and $95,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, PTO/FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
