Role- Data Engineer
Location- Seattle, WA / Lewisville, Texas
Duration- Full Time
Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain scalable and high-performancedata pipeline
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues
Implement security, data protection measures and data quality rules
Dividing requirements into actionable tasks
Reviewing code by peer programmers
Using test driven development(TDD) to implement new features
Writing unit/integration tests
Skills
Knowledge of and 5-8 years of Experience in the following development concepts: CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, Pair Programing, Git, GitHub, JSON, Object Oriented Programing(OOP) and trunk based development
Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing and data modeling.
Experience with automation first approach and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform/Ansible).
Strong experience in developing data pipeline with Python PyFlink and Amazon Kinesis Data Analytics, AWS Glue, Apache Kafka and DocumentDb
Experience in developing loosely coupled solutions using message broker, Kafka preferred
Strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
A proactive mindset, Self-motivated, self-disciplined and having passion to learn new tools/technologies.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
