WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Build data pipelines and reports that transform financial data reporting at RBC Insurance
  • Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to process structured and unstructured data
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data processing
  • Develop Python programs and perform advanced data analytics
  • Contribute to the build-out of enterprise-scale Data & Analytics as a Service (DAaaS) initiatives
  • Work on projects that enable LLM self-service capabilities for business users
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance throughout the transformation process
  • Collaborate with Data Architects and Analysts to define data models and transformations


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:
  • 3+ years of experience in SQL and Python
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP)
  • Experience transforming enterprise-level data at scale, including datasets with billions of records
  • Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing is a strong asset
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
  • Experience with Data Warehouse design and Data Modelling
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree, or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills


Nice to Have:
  • Machine learning and statistical knowledge
  • Software engineering project experience
  • Hackathon or Kaggle Competition experience
  • Experience with DBT, or similar ETL/ELT transformation frameworks
  • Familiarity with Spark, Hadoop, or other big data technologies
