Full Job Description
As a Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst I, you'll focus on leading Authorization to Operate (ATO) efforts from start to finish-owning documentation, coordinating stakeholders, and guiding systems through assessment and authorization with minimal to no handholding.

What you'll do:
  • Own and lead systems through the full ATO lifecycle using the NIST Risk Management Framework, independently managing all required security documentation, control implementations, and authorization activities.
  • Apply NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 controls and support cloud-based systems in Azure and AWS by translating technical configurations into compliant, auditable documentation while partnering with engineers and stakeholders.
  • Drive audit readiness, risk identification, and continuous monitoring by managing POA&Ms, engaging senior stakeholders, and ensuring compliance across evolving security

What you'll need to succeed:
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity compliance / RMF / ATO support (Strong candidates with slightly less experience may be considered)
  • An active Secret security clearance with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret.
  • Proven ability to lead ATOs independently from start to finish
  • Hands-on experience with:
    o NIST Risk Management Framework
    o NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5
  • Experience writing implementation statements and ATO documentation
  • Strong understanding of cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Experience working in federal or government environments

SALARY RANGE: $105,800 - $124,200

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
