Leidos is seeking a Cyber Engineer to assist with leading our IA team in Arlington, VA. This position is 100% on-site.
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer supports a DISA mission customer on the CESO ITSS effort. The role analyzes and defines security requirements for multilevel security (MLS) systems and designs, engineers, integrates, and implements secure solutions that meet those requirements to result in a sustained ATO. This position supports secure system operations through documentation, audits, and risk/vulnerability analysis across the full system development life cycle (SDLC).
This role supports a Special Access Program (SAP). The selected candidate must be able to meet additional government customer reporting requirements associated with SAP and/or SCI access (requirements may include additional reporting expectations and use of customer-specified forms/processes).
Primary responsibilities- Provide day-to-day technical leadership for cybersecurity team, including planning/assigning work and prioritizing tasks to meet contract commitments. "Direct supervision" activities may include assigning work and providing input into performance/salary reviews, approving timecards/expenses, and making recommendations that affect employment/compensation/retention
- Analyze and define security requirements for MLS systems; translate mission needs into implementable security requirements and designs.
- Design, develop, engineer, integrate, and implement solutions that meet security requirements, including integration/implementation of system security solutions.
- Conduct security audits and generate system-level security documentation; support security planning artifacts and documentation expectations.
- Support development of System Operating Procedures (SOPs) / System Operation Procedure documents to enable secure operations.
- Apply IT governance knowledge, risk mitigation strategies, and encryption/decryption concepts to establish secure solutions.
- Perform risk analysis (risk assessment processes and procedures) and recommend information assurance/security solutions that support customer requirements.
- Perform vulnerability/risk analyses of systems and applications during all phases of the SDLC and support required testing/evaluation and flaw remediation processes.
Required qualifications- Active TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain CI Poly.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ experience performing cybersecurity engineering for complex systems (requirements, secure design, integration/implementation, audits, documentation).
- Experience producing system-level security documentation and supporting security planning activities (e.g., system security plans)
- Experience performing risk assessments and vulnerability/risk analyses across the SDLC
- Strong technical writing skills (SOPs, procedures, engineering/security documentation).
- Ability to obtain and maintain SAP access
Preferred qualifications- Direct experience supporting DISA mission customers.
- Direct experience supporting SAP/Special Access environments and associated compliance/reporting expectations.
- Experience applying security engineering practices that integrate security requirements throughout SDLC activities.

Pay Range:Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
