The OpportunityVermilion is seeking a
Senior Crude Oil & NGL Marketing Representative to lead value optimization across its North American crude oil and NGL portfolios. The role combines commodity marketing, complex contract negotiation, market-access strategy, infrastructure and logistics development, and cross-functional commercial leadership. The successful candidate will bring deep market expertise and a demonstrated ability to convert commercial insight into durable, long-term value.
What You Will Do- Support Director, Marketing in the development and execution of crude oil and NGL marketing strategies for Vermilion's North American production
- Negotiate, structure, and administer complex crude oil and NGL sales, purchase, transportation, fractionation, storage, blending, and related commercial agreements.
- Optimize realized liquids value through market selection and pricing strategies
- Evaluate market-access and business-development opportunities using commercial, financial, operational, and risk analysis; prepare recommendations for senior leadership.
- Monitor crude oil and NGL fundamentals, pricing, differentials, infrastructure constraints, regulatory developments, and competitive activity across North American and relevant global markets.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with external counterparts including producers, midstream companies, marketers, and end users.
- Support Director, Marketing in commercial management of Global crude oil sales agreements
- Provide commercial leadership in Marketing assessments of asset acquisition and divestiture reviews
- Mentor team members, share market knowledge, strengthen commercial capability, and contribute to a collaborative, high-accountability culture.
What You Will Bring- 10+years of senior commercial experience across crude oil and NGL marketing in Western Canada. A background that includes producer marketing, midstream infrastructure, and business development experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and executing value-add commercial projects, including fractionation and transport commitments, blend projects, and infrastructure investments that create long-term strategic value.
- Demonstrated success negotiating and managing complex, high-value commercial agreements and developing constructive long-term counterparty relationships.
- Strong understanding of physical commodity markets for North American crude oil and NGL's, including pricing structures, logistics, risk and opportunities
- Ability to build robust commercial and financial analyses, assess alternatives, communicate trade-offs, and make clear recommendations to senior leaders.
- Excellent judgment, negotiation, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, operational, financial, and executive audiences.
- A proactive, results-oriented approach and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in dynamic commodity markets.
- University degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent senior commercial experience will also be considered.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with commodity systems, market data platforms, and analytical tools is an asset.
