Job Summary
Legal team member responsible for managing all litigation, coordinating litigation strategy, and managing outside counsel on a daily basis. Supports and assists our legal and business teams with customer disputes and contested matters prior to litigation.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Provide legal advice and representation of the company in litigation, mediations, arbitrations, negotiations, settlement discussions, claims, and related matters
• Manage internal litigation processes and communication related to contested matters, including coordinating discovery responses working with administrative and operations functions
• Actively manage outside counsel in a manner that provides maximum value and return for the company - this includes working closely with outside counsel regarding case strategy and court filings
• Manage and participate in special projects and department or company initiatives as needed
• Work collaboratively to manage multiple tasks, including collaboration with other administrative functions within the organization

Education; Experience; Skills

• J.D. and licensed attorney with bar admission in good standing in at least one state; ability to become registered for in-house practice in the state of Missouri.
• 4+ years at a law firm and/or in-house legal department with primary experience as a litigator and/or managing outside litigation counsel from an in-house position
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, other legal team members, and outside counsel
• Exhibit leadership, relationship skills, and strong negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

Work Environment

• Primarily working in our Maryland Heights, Missouri, administrative offices, with ability to work from home one day per week
