Job DescriptionHOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT - Serve as the primary finance business partner to the Plant Manager, providing financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations to support operational and business decisions.
- Develop and implement actions and financial plans to achieve operational targets, strategic objectives, and customer requirements.
- Analyze manufacturing performance and cost variances, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance plant profitability.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate reporting of the P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial reports, analyses, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate and support the annual budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes for the plant.
- Monitor internal controls and financial processes to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory transactions, physical inventory counts, and inventory valuation.
- Perform fixed asset accounting, capitalization reviews, depreciation analysis, and fixed asset inventory reconciliations.
- Review and maintain standard cost calculations for existing and new products.
- Conduct detailed analysis of material consumption, material price, labor, freight, overhead, and scrap variances, providing actionable recommendations.
- Support capital expenditure requests through financial analysis, ROI calculations, and business case development.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction efforts.
- Assist with internal and external audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards and company reporting requirements.
- Support special projects, process improvement initiatives, and ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
QualificationsWHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE - Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field
- 5+ years of financial/analytical/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong MS Office knowledge required, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- A strong understanding of finance/accounting fundamentals
- Understanding of GAAP accounting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines required
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
