What You'll Be Doing

You'll be joining CIBC's Capital Markets Technology group, supporting our Corporate and Investment Banking business teams. As a Sr. Consultant, Business Systems Analysis, you will be responsible for executing business analysis activities within a matrix organization in order to advance assigned business initiatives and ensure project success. You will act as a liaison between project stakeholders by serving as single point of contact with respect to requirement expertise, requirement management process and will actively participate in all phases of a project life cycle. You'll be working in an Agile environment requiring interactions with multiple business groups, developers, and other support teams across CIBC.

How You'll Succeed
  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Communication and Relationships - Build strong relationships and partnerships with technical team members, business team and peers. Demonstrate very strong communication skills, both written and verbal.


Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate experience with: 6+ years' in a business systems analyst role (preferably supporting a Capital Markets client group) with demonstrated ability to coach and mentor other junior team members. You have strong experience working within an Agile environment supporting Enterprise Applications, as well as a good understanding of the Capital Markets business. We're searching for an Innovative team member with the proven communication/consultative/facilitation skills required to lead diverse stakeholders to agreement, and who is also focused on improving the client experience by recommending and delivering alternate solutions.
