Full Job Description
As a Senior Individual Contributor, you will be the bridge between complex financial data and operational excellence. Reporting to the Director of Innovation and BPI, you will lead the charge in transforming ADP's International Money Movement reporting for Canada Payment Operations to a forward-looking, context-driven strategic reporting with actionable insights. Your primary mission is two-fold: to engineer efficiencies in the current state of operational reporting (through training, skill building, automation and process re-design), and to look at how data can support the future looking pursuits of financial risk reduction, process improvement opportunities and revenue generation opportunities. What you'll do: Responsibilities What you can expect on a typical day: - Process Transformation & Restructuring: Partner with Managers and Directors across business units to audit legacy reporting. You will lead the shift from "data dumps" to context-driven analytics that align with long-term capacity planning and forward-looking goals. - Technical Execution (SQL & BI): Architect and maintain complex SQL query scripts to extract high-volume data from payroll and money movement databases. You will be the dual expert in Tableau and Power BI, selecting the right tool for the specific business need. - Automation: Leverage key reporting tools and advanced Excel functions to eliminate manual touchpoints within the production cycle. - Business Process Improvement: Utilize the data from reporting cycles & project-based reporting to identify trends that support process improvement and / revenue opportunities - Capacity & Predictive Planning: Build models that help leadership understand workforce capacity and money movement trends, allowing for proactive rather than reactive decision-making. - Cross-Functional Influence: Act as a consultant to leaders within payment operations, guiding them on how to restructure their internal processes to better leverage data. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements - 6-8 years of professional experience in Analytics and BPI, ideally within FinTech, Payroll, or complex Financial Services. - SQL: Expert-level scripting; ability to handle large, complex datasets with high accuracy. - Visualization: Mastery of both Tableau and Power BI. - ETL: Proficiency in structuring for workflow automation. - Consulting Background: Proven track record of working on projects that yielded measurable Business Process Improvement (BPI) results. - Domain Knowledge: Experience or a strong interest in financial services, payments, fin-tech, global payroll, or high-compliance financial environments. - Experience in leading large complex data projects but understanding how to roll up your sleeves to execute the day-to-day tasks as required until stability is established. - Ability to meet stakeholders 'where they are at' - whether they are part of the technical teams, business or leadership. - Strong communication skills to be able to convey complex information into relevant supporting documentation or discussion with key stakeholders in advancing projects forward. - Flexibility to work in a highly dynamic team within a large/multi-faceted organization.
