We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior Construction Project Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects across the Western U.S., with a focus on
environmental restoration, water resources, and heavy civil infrastructure.
This role blends
construction leadership, estimating, and scheduling expertise with a strong understanding of
engineering-driven, design-build, and self-perform projects. You will play a critical role in delivering technically challenging projects that improve ecosystems, water systems, and community infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle project execution from pursuit and estimating through construction and closeout
- Manage design-build and engineer-led projects, coordinating closely with engineering, environmental, and field teams
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans
- Oversee project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
- Direct and coordinate field construction activities, superintendents, subcontractors, and self-perform crews
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and safety standards (OSHA)
- Manage change orders, claims avoidance, and contract administration
- Identify and mitigate project risks, including constructability and logistical challenges
- Lead client interactions, including public agencies, utilities, and private stakeholders
- Support business development efforts, including proposals, bid strategy, and client relationship growth
- Mentor and develop junior PMs, engineers, and field staff
QualificationsRequired:- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil, environmental, or infrastructure construction
- 6+ years managing complex, multi-phase projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Strong experience with estimating, scheduling, and construction execution
- Proven ability to manage self-perform work and subcontractors
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling tools
- Strong financial acumen, including cost tracking, forecasting, and job cost reporting
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites across the West Region
Preferred:- PMP, PE, or other relevant certifications
- Experience with water resources, dams, fish passage, river restoration, or hydraulic structures
- Background in design-build or alternative delivery methods (CMAR, progressive design-build)
- Advanced degree

- Environmental and regulatory compliance (CEQA/NEPA familiarity is a plus)

California Pay Range
$112,800-$139,000 USD
