POSITION INTRODUCTION

As a Senior Project Manager, Life Sciences Construction, you will lead capital construction projects for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, and other regulated manufacturing facilities. This role oversees project execution from preconstruction through startup while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved. Your leadership will directly impact customers operating in highly regulated environments where precision, compliance, and operational reliability are critical to success.

DAY IN THE LIFE

As a Senior Project Manager supporting Life Sciences projects, your day centers on managing complex construction and facility improvement projects within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, and advanced manufacturing environments. You will collaborate with owners, engineers, validation teams, quality personnel, subcontractors, and field supervision to coordinate project activities and maintain alignment with safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements. You will oversee project financial performance, manage client communications, lead progress meetings, review schedules, and address technical and operational challenges that arise during execution. A key part of the role involves ensuring construction activities support customer quality systems, commissioning requirements, validation protocols, and operational readiness objectives. Success in this position requires strong leadership, proactive communication, sound business judgment, and the ability to deliver projects in highly regulated environments where schedule reliability and quality performance are critical.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or technical construction projects.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, forecasting, schedules, subcontractors, and overall project execution.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams in active construction environments.
  • Knowledge of construction means and methods, project controls, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation.
  • Experience utilizing construction scheduling and project management software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
