Position Introduction

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will lead industrial construction projects from pre-construction planning through project completion, ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost-effective execution. This role is responsible for project leadership, budget management, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, client relations, and overall project performance while supporting NOOTER's commitment to operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Day in the Life

A typical day as a Mechanical Project Manager involves leading multiple industrial construction activities while coordinating project teams, field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will review project schedules, manpower plans, financial reports, forecasts, and cost controls while monitoring quality and safety performance across active job sites. As the primary client contact, you will communicate project status, address challenges, resolve issues, and align stakeholders on project objectives. You will collaborate closely with office and field personnel, oversee contract administration, support resource planning, evaluate project risks, and make critical decisions that impact productivity, schedule performance, cost management, and successful project delivery. Your leadership will directly contribute to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and the successful execution of complex industrial and commercial construction projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related filed; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience managing industrial or commercial construction projects.
  • Experience in construction estimating, cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and project financial management.
  • Experience leading field teams, subcontractors, and cross-functional construction personnel.
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction project management software.
  • Experience managing project safety, quality, schedule, and operational performance.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
