The People & Culture team is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to support the strategic and operational delivery of compensation programs for Equinox's corporate and field populations. Reporting to the Senior Director of Compensation, this role will serve as a key partner in the administration, analysis, and continuous enhancement of compensation programs and processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the next phase of compensation at Equinox. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you will contribute to meaningful business decisions and support the development of scalable compensation frameworks that attract, motivate, and retain top talent.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving complex business problems, and translating information into actionable insights. You will contribute to high-impact initiatives including annual compensation planning, compensation governance, job architecture development, salary structure design, market benchmarking, and incentive plan enhancements.

While the role is primarily focused on Equinox, you will also support select enterprise-wide compensation activities, including annual compensation cycle processes involving SoulCycle and Equinox Hotels.

The successful candidate combines strong analytical and technical capabilities with sound business judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the administration and evolution of compensation programs for Equinox corporate and field employees.
  • Work closely with the Senior Director of Compensation to help execute key compensation initiatives, projects, and annual processes.
  • Lead and support compensation analyses related to new hires, promotions, transfers, market adjustments, organizational changes, and internal equity reviews.
  • Conduct job evaluations, market pricing, benchmarking, and job architecture analyses to support compensation decisions, organizational design, and the development of salary structures and compensation frameworks.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of annual compensation processes, including merit increases, promotions, bonus planning, accruals, and payout administration.
  • Support compensation governance workflows and approval processes, ensuring requests are reviewed, documented, administered consistently, and compliant with established guidelines.
  • Gather, reconcile, validate, and analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources; support putting together reports, models, dashboards, and presentations that translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Support compensation survey participation and external benchmarking activities.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners, Finance, and business leaders to provide data-driven compensation guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting capabilities, strengthen data integrity, and enhance the effectiveness of compensation programs.
  • Stay informed on compensation trends, regulatory developments, and market practices, proactively recommending enhancements where appropriate.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or concentration in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive compensation experience, or a combination of compensation and related analytical experience (e.g., workforce analytics, financial analysis), including at least 3 years supporting compensation programs.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting annual compensation cycles, including merit increases, promotions, bonus planning, and compensation analyses.
  • Strong foundation in compensation principles and practices, including job evaluation, market pricing, salary structures, internal equity, and incentive compensation.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills, including data modeling, reconciliation, and analysis of large and complex datasets, with the ability to validate and interpret data, identify meaningful trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations and executive-ready presentations.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and compensation systems; UKG & Workday experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of US compensation regulations and pay practices; familiarity with compensation practices in Canada and the UK is a plus.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work independently while building strong partnerships across HR, Finance, and business teams.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
