Full Job Description
Millions of people come to Pinterest to find inspiration and, increasingly, to shop. As a Senior Client Partner focused on our emerging line of business with Amazon, you will sit at the intersection of a highly strategic partnership and some of Pinterest's most important future growth bets. You'll own senior-level relationships across Amazon business units, help shape how new programs go to market, and translate an evolving product roadmap into measurable, scaled performance for our shared customers. You'll operate as a senior industry leader in retail and e-commerce, partnering closely with cross-functional teams (Measurement, Product, Marketing, Creative, and Client Account Management) to build and execute multi-quarter growth plans. By bringing a strong performance marketing and measurement mindset, you'll help prove and expand Pinterest's role in Amazon's broader media mix, while also helping define how we monetize emerging surfaces and formats over time. What You'll Do: • Own a portfolio of Amazon lines of business (e.g., category, region, or program) and serve as the senior point of contact across client, agency, and internal stakeholders. • Develop and lead multi-quarter account strategies that tie Amazon's business objectives to Pinterest's full-funnel solutions, with clear success metrics and measurement plans. • Build and deepen relationships with director, VP, and at times C-suite stakeholders at Amazon, influencing decision-making and navigating a complex, matrixed environment. • Partner with Client Account Managers to ensure operational excellence across campaigns: forecast, plan, and optimize to deliver against revenue, performance, and product adoption targets. • Translate performance data and measurement outputs (e.g., MMM/MTA or Amazon's source-of-truth systems) into clear narratives and recommendations for senior stakeholders. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (Product, Measurement, Data Science, Marketing, Creative) to shape and test new products and programs for this emerging line of business. • Contribute to GTM playbooks for Amazon-aligned solutions and help scale successful approaches across regions, categories, and pods. • Identify and mitigate risks early, manage escalations with internal and external partners, and ensure alignment on priorities across teams. • Represent Amazon partnership needs and insights back into internal planning, influencing roadmaps and resourcing decisions. • Model Pinterest values and client partnership best practices, coaching peers and raising the bar on execution quality within the broader team. What We're Looking For: • 7+ years in digital advertising, performance marketing, or strategic client partnerships at a scaled platform, e-commerce company, or agency. • Deep understanding of retail and e-commerce business models; experience working with or within Amazon or a large marketplace is strongly preferred. • Proven track record owning and growing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts, including senior-level (VP/C-suite) relationship management. • Expertise in full-funnel media strategy, including hands-on experience with performance and measurement solutions (e.g., MMM, MTA, incrementality testing) and comfort operating against a defined source of truth. • Strong analytical skills: able to translate complex datasets into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations that drive decisions. • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, build multi-quarter plans, and execute in a fast-changing environment with evolving products and constraints. • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including building and delivering compelling pitches and QBRs to senior stakeholders. • Highly collaborative, with a track record of influencing cross-functional partners and driving outcomes without formal authority. • Challenger mindset: comfortable pushing for new approaches, constructively challenging client assumptions, and staying persistent with key decision makers. • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, SaaS Sales, or related field, or equivalent experience. Nice to Have: • Direct experience with Amazon Ads, Amazon Retail, or marketplace-specific performance programs (e.g., retail media, in-app shopping, affiliate, or partner-led programs). • Experience helping launch or scale a new line of business, product, or GTM motion within a large, matrixed organization. In-Office Requirement Statement: • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection. • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 2 times per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from our New York office. Relocation Statement: • This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
