  • Monitor water systems for compliance and analyze system improvements.

Description

The Senior Chemical Process Engineer ensures process engineering standards and how they relate to the development, documentation, and production of all products at All Flex. The Senior Chemical Process Engineer has a thorough understanding of circuit assembly and design variables which affect product quality.

Essential Job Duties
• Responsible for the manufacturing processes, maintaining specific goals, visions and implementation; specifically in the Wet Process areas.
• Responsible for supporting and mentoring production, assisting with machine, process or part issues; daily NCR resolution (root cause detection & action implementation)
• Customer contact on any issues of workability, quality and design. Respects the confidentiality of company and customer information.
• Responsible for documentation and training; keeping process documents up to date, resolve audit findings, create documentation where missing and for new processes as needed.
• Participates in meetings with Engineers, Plant Manager, Sales and other staff relative to application of consolidated knowledge and experience to promptly resolve problems, processes, drawings, design, specifications, materials, quality, etc.
• Initiates improvement projects, provides technical support for new capabilities. Advises needs for capital investment in coordination with company goals.
• Responsible for documentation and standardization of equipment/chemical maintenance.
• Perform monthly water sampling, organize analytical testing of water and process results for reporting to the city.
• Monitor incoming water (RO & softening system
• Monitor outgoing water (pH, metal content and volume)
• Monitor chemical usage, labeling, storage and disposal of hazardous waste
• Train employees on hazardous waste handling and safety precautions.
• Analyze system and manage necessary upgrades to meet added capacity.
• Monitor water being discharged and identify root cause and correct any non-complaint water being discharged.
• Represent All Flex with city, county, state, federal hazardous waste agencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education
• B.S. in Chemical Engineering or a related field.

Experience and/or Training
• 5+ years' experience in etching, plating, hazardous waste, or similar industry.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing production company's concepts and applications. Knowledge and has had practical experience with the application of Lean Manufacturing, SPC and or Lean Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of HAZWOPER, OSHA, DOT training.
• Knowledge and understanding of concepts, contents, and application of IPC standards, and ISO9001/AS9100.

We offer a competitive base salary in the $95,000 to $120,000 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus and profit-sharing opportunities tied to performance.
