In this role, you will lead day-to-day procurement activities supporting various avionics and electronic manufacturing projects. You will develop and manage strategic suppliers, draft RFP/RFQ packages, perform price/cost analyses, and execute compliant fixed-price and cost-type contracts. Working in an onsite capacity, you will serve as a key escalation point for supplier performance and delivery issues, ensuring best-value procurement while building strong relationships with internal project teams and external partners.
Shift Details & Location- Location: Onsite only - Kent, WA (Highly Preferred)
- Travel: Minor travel required as needed by leadership
What We're Looking For Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 8+ years of tactical-level experience in purchasing and supply chain management.
- Demonstrated experience in avionics and/or electronic manufacturing procurement.
- Proven track record in developing and managing strategic suppliers, conducting supplier business reviews, and negotiating terms, NDAs, and contracts.
- Experience issuing and managing fixed-price and cost-type contracts.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.
Must-Have Skills- Avionics & Electronics Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of avionics systems, software, and hardware (e.g., EEE components, PCBs, PCBAs, LRUs, antennas, batteries, sensors, harnesses, instrumentation, secondary structures, and engineering/testing services).
- Procurement Operations & Analysis: Expertise developing RFP/RFQ packages, conducting price and cost analyses, and executing compliant purchase orders.
- Systems & Tools: Hands-on experience using procurement software such as Costpoint and/or Coupa to create purchase orders and change orders.
- Supplier & Issue Management: Strong capability to serve as an escalation point to resolve discrepancies in delivery, receiving, invoicing, and supplier performance.
- Organization & Communication: Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred)- Professional certifications such as APICS, CPM, CSCP, or equivalent.
- Experience with Costpoint, Coupa, and Jira / Atlassian software.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) and public purchasing procedures.
- Experience in construction and facilities purchasing.
