Job DescriptionPosition: Sr Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote role supporting our BIOA Laboratory in Richmond, VA. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. The Senior Systems Specialist performs advanced in-system configurations and participates in the identification, review and documentation of user requirements, system design specifications and qualifications. This role coordinates and executes configuration implementations and ensures business success and client satisfaction on supported applications. The Clinical Lab Informatics Specialist III acts as a project manager for departmental projects and initiatives ensuring team deliverables are accurate, qualified, registered and comply with required formats and within established timelines. Additionally, this role leads system releases, bug fixes and enhancements.
What You'll Do:- Support the implementation of an end-to-end automated, AI-enabled bioanalytical workflow by delivering AI and data automation solutions as part of a fully integrated platform.
- Act as a subject matter expert for software systems and/or instrumentation to ensure success in moderately complex deliverables (in-system configurations, system template development, reports, etc.)
- Evaluate system revisions and updates. Review change controls and test scripts to support the roll-out of all system changes and/or updates, including system testing and demonstrations.
- Interface with other departments for the completion of system configurations, qualifications, implementation and training.
- Ensure compliance with organization and client policies and procedures.
- Lead project teams and as needed, set direction of future enhancements to the system, reviewing change requests and ensuring effective communication and accuracy in testing.
- Engineer innovative technology solutions utilizing the current software tools in collaboration with business users and IT.
- Lead and/or builds major system changes or new systems/applications ensuring smooth user onboarding through change management.
- Act as a departmental resource for process improvements, user training and mentoring.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:- Strong knowledge of laboratory processes
- Solid problem-solving, troubleshooting, organization and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent editorial/proofreading skills
- Strong computer skills and competency with Microsoft Office software
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
- Good project management skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to multi-task and adapt and adjust to changing priorities in a high pressure environment
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train, coach and mentor others
- Advanced knowledge of system template or report development
- Expert knowledge in three or more system services (ELN, SharePoint, Power Platform including Power Apps and Power Automate, and agentic generative AI)
- Ability to act as subject matter expert.

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in Virginia is $75,700.00-$126,300.00.
