Sr. Business Systems Analyst (CRM & Marketing – Salesforce & Marketo)


Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead business analysis efforts across CRM and Marketing platforms, including Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Marketo. This role drives complex analysis initiatives, partners with cross-functional stakeholders, and influences solution design to enable scalable, data-driven customer engagement and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead end-to-end business analysis initiatives across Salesforce CRM (Sales & Service Cloud), Marketing Cloud, and Marketo
  • Partner with business leaders, marketing teams, and IT to define strategy, priorities, and solution direction
  • Facilitate complex requirements workshops, stakeholder alignment sessions, and solution discussions
  • Translate business objectives into comprehensive functional and technical requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Establish and manage requirements governance, traceability, and documentation standards
  • Drive process analysis and optimization across CRM and marketing workflows (lead management, case management, campaign execution, customer journeys)
  • Influence solution design by collaborating closely with architects and development teams
  • Perform advanced impact analysis, data analysis, and solution evaluation to support decision-making
  • Lead UAT strategy, planning, and execution, ensuring solutions meet business objectives
  • Identify opportunities for automation, AI enablement, and improved customer experience across platforms
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, data governance, security, and compliance requirements
  • Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices across the BA community

What You Bring
  • Strong experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting Salesforce CRM (Sales and Service Cloud)
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Marketo in a marketing automation context
  • Advanced expertise in requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, and business process modeling
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions
  • Strong understanding of CRM and marketing processes (lead lifecycle, campaign management, customer engagement)
  • Experience working with cross-platform integrations and data flows between CRM and marketing systems
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across business and IT
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments with structured governance

Minimum Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience

Preferable Skills & Experience:
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Business Analyst, or Advanced Admin)
  • Marketing certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud, Marketo certification)
  • Strong experience with Sales Cloud (pipeline, forecasting) and Service Cloud (case management, Omni-Channel)
  • Hands-on exposure to Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio) and/or Marketo campaign design and execution
  • Experience with CRM–Marketing integration patterns and customer data synchronization
  • Knowledge of customer data platforms (CDP), segmentation, and personalization strategies
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and data quality frameworks
  • Exposure to AI-driven marketing and CRM capabilities (e.g., Einstein, predictive analytics, automation)
  • Experience in Agile at scale and enterprise delivery models
