This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.
The Business Intelligence Engineer enables data-driven decision making by delivering trusted reporting frameworks, deep-dive analyses, and self-service analytics tools - including AI-powered agents and semantic layers - that scale insight delivery across the organization. This role combines subject matter expertise in data modeling, metric standardization, and cross-domain business context to ensure stakeholders receive accurate, actionable information at the right time. BIEs translate complex data into stakeholder-ready narratives, partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Engineering teams to ensure comprehensive telemetry and data quality, and proactively surface insights and risks that inform strategic planning and business reviews.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you sit at the intersection of question and answer - architecting the intelligent systems that transform raw data into on-demand, business-ready insight. This role designs and deploys agentic data experiences, semantic models, and automated frameworks that allow AWS Marketplace & Partner Services stakeholders to securely inspect data conversationally, at scale, and with trust. Rather than producing static reports, the BIE encodes deep subject matter expertise - metric definitions, cross-domain context, and business logic - directly into AI-consumable systems that reason, validate, and deliver answers.
