Job Description

The Sr. Business Consultant, Business Strategy & Operations, serves as a key operational and technical partner to Visa clients, focusing on Money Movement Solutions and related products. This individual contributor role is responsible for managing operational relationships, driving client enablement, and supporting business growth through effective account management and consultative support. The role requires strong execution, technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies to deliver client requirements and key initiatives.

The Senior Consultant is vital in helping Visa deliver against the operational needs of key markets, providing the right support and partnership that recognizes client-specific requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow Visa's business by driving value to clients through effective enablement and customer-centric support.

All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage operational initiatives, special projects, and client-driven continuous improvement plans.
  • Act as liaison and escalation point for the client, providing problem management, proactive identification of processing efficiencies, service change support, and system enhancement support.
  • Coordinate internal resources to accomplish Visa and client objectives, accelerating time to revenue.
  • Participate in cross-functional customer service delivery initiatives across clients and Visa internal teams.
  • Drive problem and communication management for any critical issue affecting a client, or client issue affecting Visa.
  • Proactively notify clients regarding any widespread or business-critical problems with the application, and lead internal and external recovery efforts of product and processing service interruptions.
  • Engage Technology and Product organizations to regularly review and identify permanent solutions to frequently encountered operational issues.
  • Educate and train clients on best practices, increasing adoption for Visa Commercial and Money Movement Solutions products.
  • Represent customer change requests, system or operational requirements, and negotiate and manage expectations internally and externally.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the client experience by data-driven optimization and streamlining of operational processes.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
  • Experience in managing operational initiatives and special projects for clients in the payments or financial services industry.
  • Experience in acting as a liaison and escalation point for clients, including problem management and service change support.
  • Experience in coordinating internal resources to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience in participating in cross-functional customer service delivery initiatives.
  • Experience in driving problem and communication management for critical client issues.
  • Experience in educating and training clients on best practices for payment solutions.
