Role Overview Looking for a Senior Backend SDET with strong experience in Java and API automation to build scalable test frameworks and support high-quality backend systems in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Design and maintain automated test frameworks for backend services and APIs
- Write and execute API tests using Java, Karate, RestAssured, and Postman
- Validate backend data using Cassandra or other NoSQL databases
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Collaborate with developers and QA to improve coverage and reliability
- Document test cases in Confluence, track work in Jira
Required Skills: - 5-7 years in backend test automation or SDET roles
- Strong in Java and API testing tools
- Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, and backend architecture
- Familiar with Git, CI/CD, Jira, Confluence
Nice to Have: - Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
The pay range for this role is CAD $100,000 - CAD $110,000* per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
