As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Sr Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.
Project Summary
AIS is seeking a skilled Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable cloud environments that support mission-critical applications and services. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Microsoft Azure, automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud security to build and maintain modern cloud solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Provision and configure Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
- Automate deployment and management processes using tools like Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and PowerShell. Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and availability of cloud environments.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with development and IT operations teams to support application deployment and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and incidents.
- Provide guidance and training to teams on Azure services and best practices.
- Stay current with the latest Azure technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.
Required For This Opportunity
- Active Top Secret Clearance is required
- The ability to work on Site in Washington DC
- 4 Year Degree Information Technology or related field or Equivalent Experience
- 8+ years of Experience
Nice to Have Skills
- Preferred Experience: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Azure DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises systems.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with network architecture and security in cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ATO process, findings and remediation activities Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member.
The targeted base salary range for this role is $121,000-$182,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
