Job Description:

Jaws is currently seeking a Senior Associate or Vice President to join its team, with a primary focus on fund investments across venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative investment strategies. This individual will work closely with the broader investment team to help construct allocation strategies, source and evaluate new manager relationships, underwrite new fund commitments and re-ups with existing managers, and lead reporting across the existing funds portfolio. This role will be based in New York, with periodic travel to Miami and additional business travel as part of the individual's broader responsibilities.

Relevant Experience and Skills:

Experience:
  • Strong undergraduate academic record
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience at an endowment, pension fund, family office, asset management firm, investment consultant, fund-of-funds, or similar organization
  • Prior experience evaluating alternative investment managers and/or fund commitments
  • Familiarity with venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, and broader alternative investment strategies

Skills:
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including fund performance and portfolio analysis
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative diligence into clear investment recommendations
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation development skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with investment reporting or portfolio analytics tools
