Full Job Description
As a Sr. Associate Software Developer at CoverMyMeds, you'll launch your career on a unique rotational path across Product Engineering - Access, spending six months embedded with four different teams before landing on the one that's the right mutual fit for you and the business. Along the way, you'll help build the software solutions that make it easier for patients to get the medications they need to live healthy lives. You'll gain broad exposure across our technology landscape, sharpen your technical acumen, and build the relationships that come from working shoulder-to-shoulder with teams throughout the organization. This position is a hybrid on-site remote position based out of Columbus, OH with on-site requirements.

Position Description / Responsibilities:
  • Contribute meaningfully to four different teams across a six-month rotation, then transition to a permanent team based on mutual interest and business need
  • Design and develop web applications and APIs across a variety of tech stacks, including TypeScript, React, and Ruby on Rails
  • Build and support solutions that run in both on-prem data center and Azure environments
  • Own the quality of your work through automated testing and support your solutions after they reach production
  • Partner closely with stakeholders in an agile environment - deploying often and continuously inspecting and adapting
  • Bring curiosity and initiative to every team you join, contributing to both immediate goals and the broader engineering organization


Minimum Qualifications

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Requirements:
  • Web development experience in a professional or hands-on environment
  • Familiarity with front-end web development technologies and techniques
  • Proficiency in developing relational database-backed software
  • Aptitude with debugging tools to inspect and solve coding issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with product stakeholders and teammates to find solutions together
  • Comfort adapting quickly to new teams, tools, and codebases
  • Desire to empathetically share and receive feedback and knowledge to help everyone keep improving


Additional Requirements:
  • Prior exposure to CoverMyMeds systems, products, or engineering practices strongly preferred
  • Ruby on Rails experience strongly preferred
  • React and TypeScript experience preferred
  • Experience with cloud and virtualized environments
  • Automated testing experience strongly preferred
