Job Summary:

Northeastern University seeks a campus registrar professional to provide comprehensive on-ground support for all registrar functions. This position will serve all students, Scholars program participants, and support broader campus and college collaboration efforts during a critical transition period. Working closely with existing personnel, this role will address the unique and nuanced student record and service needs essential for successful transition, teach-out, and post-merger support.

For New York: The position serves as the primary registrar liaison for the global network campuses in the southeast region of the US, including NY, VA, NC, and FL, coordinating registrar operations with Enrollment Management, Office of Global Services, Global Experience Office, Provost Office, and other stakeholders for custom and priority programs such as NUIn, Scholars, and PBA. In close partnership with the university registrar, this role manages comprehensive academic scheduling functions, including schedule creation, classroom assignment, space optimization, and enrollment reporting for each semester and term.

For California: The position serves as the primary registrar liaison for the global network campuses in the western region of the US, including Oakland, Silicon Valley and Seattle, coordinating registrar operations with Enrollment Management, Office of Global Services, Global Experience Office, Provost Office, and other stakeholders for custom and priority programs such as NUIn, Scholars, and PBA. In close partnership with the university registrar, this role manages comprehensive academic scheduling functions, including schedule creation, classroom assignment, space optimization, and enrollment reporting for each semester and term.

Key Responsibilities:

Campus Registrar Operations & Student Services

  • Serve as the primary on-ground campus representative for all registrar functions at supporting students, Scholars program participants, and facilitating campus and college collaboration
  • Partner with existing NU-NYC personnel to understand and address unique student record and service topics essential for successful transition, teach-out, and post-merger support
  • Provide direct registrar support and problem resolution for students and faculty on campus

Regional & Network Coordination

  • Lead registrar operations and coordination with EM, OGS, GEO, PO, and other stakeholders for all custom or priority programs such as NUIn, Scholars, and PBA across the global network
  • Coordinate with registrar staff to prioritize, plan, and execute southeast region priorities within the context of the greater global network

Academic Scheduling & Space Management

  • Manage the production of the academic schedule for each semester and term, compiling draft and final versions of all schedules
  • Assign classrooms and other teaching spaces, ensuring optimization of academic space utilization
  • Enter schedules in the student information system and manage post-publication and registration course schedule changes with particular attention to minimizing student impact
  • Respond to scheduling issues and problems as they arise; escalate and refer issues to campus and network administration for resolution as necessary
  • Oversee the scheduling of non-class reservations in classrooms, including events, TA meetings, and student activities

Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Prepare and distribute reports on course enrollments, staffing, and room utilization for each semester or term
  • Produce capacity and utilization reports to leadership upon request
  • Distribute course enrollment data and complete other data analysis needed for academic course planning

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the university's mission and the needs of the campus community

Expected Hiring Range:

$125,250.00 - $181,612.50

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
